June 2009 Tour de Goats!

Two weeks from now on SUNDAY, JUNE 14th, the Going Goaty Coop will start off the first ever Pedalpalooza Tour de Goats!
If you want to come get an in-depth tour of our setup, meet some other goats, see where to get the goods to take care of them, and enjoy a scrumptious local goat cheese tasting, then sign on up! Participation is limited to the first 25 people, so register asap. This bike ride will start and end in NE Portland.
Register: Email emily.gowen@gmail.com with your phone number and expected number of participants.
Cost: Sliding scale donations of $5-20 collected at the door to cover cost of snacks/cheese tasting.
This event is organized by Emily Gowen as part of her NWSA Americorps Community Action Project. The ride will be lead by Gregg Lavender and is part Pedalpalooza 2009. Check out all the other awesome rides this year at Pedalpalooza 2009!

Spring 2009
Welcome! This season a lot is happening with the Going Goaty coop. The sweet smell of goat milk is back in the air as our mamas just gave birth to 5 beautiful kids! Our new milking room is finally in use twice per day, and I’m excited for another season of cheesemaking.
Stay tuned: This season as part of an Americorps CAP (Community Action Project) I will be revamping this site as a resource for Urban Goat Keeping – as well as planting 1500 square feet of forage crops the the lovely ladies, hosting
